Naming plushies

100 tiny handmade plushies

Naming a plushie is an important ritual, it gives them meaning, a place in your heart. I wrote a whole adoption guide for the mini stuffed animals sewn in December. I had a lot of fun writing this ittle booklet to guide you through the adoption process of a plushie. I might share it eventually but for now, here's the part about naming your new friend:

"Naming your plushie is the very first important step. A name is primordial to make them feel welcomed and loved. Choose carefully for it will be their name forever. Even though plushies can respond to nicknames, they will forever cherish their original names. One way to name them would be to use the first word that pops into your mind when you look at them. You can also think of how they make you feel and derive their name from that word."

In this guide I promised a list of first names to help choose one. And so here it is:

  • Fleurelle
